About Steel Town Studios
Since 1996, Bob Barko Jr. has been creating artwork and exclusive collectables highlighting Youngstown, Ohio's popular culture including Idora Park, Isaly's Mill Creek Park, the city's steel mills, theaters, historic neighborhoods, contemporary and historic downtown and more.
In 2000, he became one of the pioneers of a new wave of businesses when opened Steel Town Studios in downtown Youngstown. The storefront remained a landmark of the Central Business District's regenesis until December 2011. In January 2012, Barko reluctantly decided to close his brick and mortar location of the studio in preparation for a 6-month Air Force Reserve deployment to Kabul, Afghanistan.
Today, Steel Town Studios continues to bring Barko's work to his long-time customers and new fans alike at road shows across the Greater Youngstown area, through local Authorized Dealers and through this Virtual Storefront.
